This garage conversion was completed in Sykesville, MD.
This was a multi-phase project involving a two story detached garage. Phase I was completed on the second story, where we remodeled the empty shell into a custom two bedroom apartment unit.
The apartment build-out included wood stairs and a front porch at the entryway. We installed ceramic tile in the kitchen, granite tile in the bathroom, and teak hardwood floors in the living room and bedrooms. Custom archways and built-in bookshelves gave the space unique details, while the granite countertops and stainless steel appliances resulted in a quality finished product.
This unit has been occupied by tenants since its completion. We maximized the owners’ ability to generate a source of income by working with the county to give this unit and the one beneath it their own electrical meters and physical addresses.
